About our school

Duranbah Public School is a small school eight kilometres west of Kingscliff. The school's main goal is to provide a dynamic learning environment for students, teachers and parents. The school is well regarded as a school with expertise in the delivery of excellent educational programs. The focus is on literacy, numeracy and the development of fundamental movement skills.

From the principal

On behalf of the students, staff and community I'd like to welcome you to Duranbah Public School.

Duranbah Public School is committed to developing competent, responsible and enthusiastic students by providing relevant and challenging learning activities. Our aim is to encourage independent learning, self-esteem, tolerance and self-discipline in a safe and harmonious environment. A dedicated and caring staff values quality educational programs, student welfare, positive parent and community participation and open communication. Students are encouraged to participate in a wide range of cultural and sporting activities, which enables them to interact with other students in the district.

About our school

Duranbah Public School is a small rural school that is a central part of the local community. It was established in 1892 and has a proud history. It has an active, supportive and hard working Parent's and Citizen's Association.

The school has three classrooms, the K – 2 Infants room, the Years 3 – 6 Primary room and a well-resourced library.

The school caters for the individual needs of the students, through thorough teaching and learning programs developed by the teachers, support by teacher aides for students with specific learning difficulties and enrichment programs for students who need extension.

Some highlights have been:
