Our extra-curricular highlights
Public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and representative events.
Student Scoop
The 'Student Scoop' is a section in our fortnightly newsletter written entirely by senior students. This gives them a valuable chance to develop their individual voices as young reporters, and also to practice key skills like observation, communication, and clear writing.
School camps and excursions
Our school excursions and senior camps - both major (every three years to Norfolk Island) and minor (the other two years locally) - offer students valuable opportunities to build independence, confidence, and resilience. They participate in new activities and work together outside the classroom, strengthening friendships, developing problem-solving skills, and creating lasting memories.
Far North Coast Dance
Students who participate in dance are invited to perform in the annual Far North Coast Dance Festival, where all the local schools perform for each other and the community. This opportunity gives our students a unique chance to express themselves creatively, build confidence, and experience the joy of performing on a professional stage
